Jeff’s career in law enforcement began in 1998 when he joined the Amherst Police Department. Jeff gained invaluable experience while with the Amherst Police serving in a variety of roles, to include School Resource Officer, Field Training Officer, DARE Instructor, and instructor at the Erie County Central Police Services Training Academy. Jeff retired in 2021 as a Detective, where he specialized in the investigation of a wide range of Felony offenses from violent crimes to financial frauds.

In 1998, Jeff and a fellow Amherst Police Detective, founded Amherst Security Professionals, and steadily grew the company from it’s inception to nearly 300 employees with offices in Amherst, Rochester and Jamestown, ultimately leading to the merger with Buffalo Protection & Investigation to form Vista Security Group.

Jeff compounded his vast experience in law enforcement and the private security industry with a BS in criminal justice and is working toward his MS. Jeff and his wife Jennifer have two children and currently live in Amherst.
